Treatment for Youth Who Have Committed a Sexual Offense
Offense Specific Treatment (OST) is a specialized method of therapy designed to help youth who have exhibited sexual acting-out behaviors. Young people who are required to complete offense specific therapy are generally referred to me by their attorney, probation or diversion officer or the department of human services. The Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) has approved me as a Full Operating Treatment Provider and Evaluator for Juveniles Who Have Committed a Sexual Offense. All of my work with these clients is driven by the SOMB Standards and Guidelines.
In order to determine if I am the appropriate provider for your situation, I need to speak with any involved attorneys, GALs, case workers, evaluators and probation or diversions officers prior to agreeing to work with your child.

Offense Specific Therapy is not covered by any insurance plan including Medicaid. These services will be billed at my private pay rate of $195 per session.
Sliding scale fees are not offered for these services.
I do not provide Superbills for out-of-network reimbursement for OST. A Superbill is required to have a diagnosis, which would include a diagnosis related to sexual perpetration. Not only is this diagnosis not covered by insurance plans, but it may not be in your child or family's best interest to have these behaviors documented in your insurance plan information.
The following OST services are available in my practice:

Individual Therapy
Any juvenile referred to me for OST will participate in individual therapy sessions to address their offending behavior. Other specific needs will also be addressed in these sessions.
Family Therapy
Parental/guardian involvement is required for all of my juvenile clients. Parents and guardians are incredibly important in helping the youth build and maintain healthy skills. Regular meetings are required. Refusal to participate in family work is grounds for termination of all therapy services with your family.
Informed Supervision
When a young person has exhibited sexually inappropriate behavior, they are required to be specially supervised for a period of time. My courses meet the SOMB requirements for Informed Supervision.
